History

Founded in 1991, the company "Rui Paulo C. Ferreira, now called "PRCF - Gas, Technology and Construction SA, has been active in the area of ​​combustible gases.

The beginning of its activity happens in the home network to use gas, with particular focus on new buildings under construction.

With urban growth comes the need to equip the new urban areas, infrastructure for piped gas distribution, and that the PRF has given itself the means and technology to meet this need, thereby initiating construction activity of gas distribution networks.

As the gas pipeline a reality, with that comes the business of providing services and technical assistance to distributors of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) pipeline, which will guarantee all kind support from the construction, operation, management and maintenance of various gas distribution networks.

With the prospect of the arrival of natural gas to Portugal, had to prepare all the infrastructure for distribution and use of natural gas, so we started the business of converting buildings and domestic consumption to natural gas.

With the cementing of partnerships with various distribution utilities natural gas, we will start the activities of local branches of natural gas, in which, on behalf of the various dealerships, we promote all activities related to the distribution of this energy since the actions of commercial solicitation, the infra-structure and connection of customers, and technical assistance, as well as all administrative activity with customers.

Inserted in a geographic area very industrialized, and with many potential industrial consumers of natural gas, which had infra-structure networks of industrial units to use this new energy. - Thus has begun the activity of the infra-structure and industrial conversion.

Combining the knowledge gained in the industrial area, and the expansion of the distribution of natural gas, has started construction of post adjustment and gas measurement (PRM / GRMS) of different classes of pressure according to need, from the posts reduction of pipeline transport (GRMS), including the reduction of posts in local distribution networks, to the reduction of posts for various industrial uses.

Noting the impossibility of building transmission and distribution of natural gas to the entire geographical area of ​​the country, the solution was to carry LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) tankers by road to these areas. Thus, we will start construction of the UAG (Autonomous Gas Units) in which the gas is stored for later local use.

Predicting the natural growth of vehicle fleets to CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), the PRF has acquired the technology of the various systems of supply of these vehicles, and its activities a special relevance in other countries are more widespread this type of fleet.

With the technology and gained strength in the domestic market, the PRF starts its internationalization to other markets and is now physically present on three continents.
